Make sure they remember you

You might have seen the movie ‘The Hunger Games’. If no then you definitely should. If yes, then you would remember these words “This is the time to show them everything! Make sure they remember you!”! When Katnis Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) asked her coach Haymitch Abernathy (Woody Harrelson) for advice on how to get the attention of sponsors who can help her survive during the battle for life!

Most often I see job candidates in Katnis’s shoes. It is a talent war out there! Between recruiters trying to find a right candiate for their Organization and position and job candidates trying to get the job that they have been waiting for! (more…)

You might have noticed the Work at Work cartoon series at my blog. Well, let me tell you why did I start it in the first place. I was doing a study about my Facebook likes and shares and I noticed my readers share pictures more than interesting and helpful articles. It is a general study that I did in which I found that the tendency of sharing pictures over written articles is 60% more. So I made my own cartoons quoting funny incidents at office to entertain my audience or sometimes to probe different scenarios. Results! More shares, message spreads and better visibility.

Fear kills your creativity!

Hope you all had a blast this past holiday weekend! I had an awesome time with all sorts of fun activities with bowling, karaoke party, a crazy drive to the Natural Bridge at Virginia and the most amazing part of all was the time spent painting with my 4 year old naughty niece that had added more colors to my Thanksgiving celebrations!
