Does a fun environment alone keep your employees engaged?

Well, First of all, let me say I am a proponent of having a casual work environment where employees can be their most authentic selves. Creating a friendly work culture can make your employees wanting to work there and allow them to become more collaborative, innovative and productive.

But don’t confuse employee engagement as conducting some fun activities at office. The other day when I asked a few HR professionals about employee engagement, they narrated the fun activities that they do at work! The tough truth is no matter how hard you try to make your employees feel happy they don’t give a damn if their job sucks.

Employee engagement isn’t all about fun events and providing perks.
