Today we are celebrating Thanksgiving day with our family here in US! One of the authentic times in the year for family and friends to come together, celebrate with a delicious fun feast and give thanks for all the blessings that we were showered with. My husband and I are at my sister’s place and I am more excited to be spending my time with our little niece!
Today morning I took a walk in their backyard to take a few snaps and I was feeling so calm and pleasant in my mind just like the early morning. And this just stuck in my mind. Why aren’t people thankful for what they have?
People are often in an unreasonable race to obtain more than what they already have, some things that are desirable to them and put themselves in a situation where they are blind to the joy and happiness around them.
Sometimes it could be to get a job that they feel would be more awesome than what they have now. And due to that they don’t put their full selves at work. Laziness, boredom and frustration set into them. And they end up cursing others for messing up with their career and back bite their colleagues and managers as culprits for the mess that they made themselves!
I wish for them to understand that they are the ones to take control of their career and keep the fire in themselves everyday. Remember, there are plenty of people out there jobless who are not even being able to pay their dues, are homeless and struggling to put enough food on the kid’s plates! So let us be thankful for the job that others don’t have and do what it takes to get the job done!
And let us be thankful for our family and friends that surround us with all the happiness that sometimes we miss to notice in our busy schedule and often take for granted. And be thankful for every single opportunity we get to make a difference in other’s life!
You all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!
